Happy December, friends! I wanted to send a quick reminder about some fun things coming up around town this month:
1.) LEAD’s Winter Bazaar is this Tuesday, December 3, from 10am to noon.
2.) Also on December 3, the Duluth Library will be hosting a Harry Potter Yule Party starting at 5:30pm. It’s free, and open to kids grades 3 and up. They’ll have chocolate frogs and other treats, as well as games and activities.
3.) On December 4, the Duluth Library is hosting a Telescope/Night Sky event that is free to attend, and starts at 6pm.
4.) The Medieval Times Education Day is Friday, December 6, at 10:30am. Tickets are going fast, and you have to call and get your tickets ahead of time. Check out the link for pricing and more information.
5.) The Peachtree Corners Town Center (across the street from the Forum) is having a Holiday Tree Lighting Party on their Town Green on Friday, December 6, from 6-9pm. There will be music, activities, food, and more. The tree lighting will take place at 7:30pm.
6.) IKEA’s annual Holiday Buffet is Friday, December 13. We’ve gone to this many times over the years, and always have fun. It’s a traditional all-you-can-eat Scandinavian/St. Lucia dinner, with different salads, sides, meats, fish, desserts and more. They close the cafe for this event, and do a great job decorating for the festivities.
7.) The Gwinnett County Library is hosting a Harry Potter Yule Ball on Saturday, December 14. Tweens and teens from grades 6-12 are invited to come out to this festive and fun after-hours event. Feel free to wear your robes and bring your wands, but no dress code is required. Enjoy snacks from Honeydukes, take part in wizarding games and activities, and dance! If you love Harry Potter and always wanted to attend your own Yule Ball, now’s your chance! No charge.
